PROPOSED CONFERENCE OF MILLERS. BY TELEOHAPH —I'IIESS ASSOCIATION . WELLINGTON, July 8. Oregon timber importations are exercising the minds of millers along the North Island Main Trunk Line, and they will meet in Wellington to discuss the matter in conference on July 23rd. Steps will be taken to induce the Government to prevont unfair competition on the part of foreign timbers with the New Zealand timbers, considering the very large number of people engaged in the industry, and the immense amount of capital invested in it.
