PERSONAL.
Mr A V. Faulkner, who was married yesterday, was the recipient of a set of silver-ware and a clock made of gun metal, from Ladysmith, from the employees of the firm of T. Wagg and O. Mr T. Wagg made the presentation. Mr W. J. Roydhouse, father of Mr W. F. Roydhouse, editor of the "Wairarapa Daily News," Carterton, died at Wellington, on Monday, after a long illness. Deceased, who was in his 77th year, was formerly in the New Zealand telegraph service, but for the last forty years had bean n settler in Greyt'./wn, where and his wifp, w'io predeceased him by ten days, brought up a family of three sons and five daughter3,*all but one of whom are married, some having grown-up families and| grandchildren of their own. One of the sons is Mr T. R. Rovdhouse, the well-known editor of the "Sunday Time 3," Sydney, and the third, Mr J. C. Roydhouse, is in the Government Printing Office at Perth. Two of the daughters are in Australia and three in New Zealand. Miss Hettie Wickens, second daughter of Mr J. Wickens, of Masterton, was married yesterday, at St. Matthew's Church, to Mr Albert V. Faulkner, son of the late Mr G. Faulknor, of Hastings. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a handsome dress of cream crepe de chenc, with trimmings of silk insertion, and ate carried a pretty bouquet. Misa Lottie Wickens and Miss Ethel Faulkner, sisters of the respective parties, were the bridesmaids, Mr W. Minett best man, and Mr Frank Wickens groomsman. The Rev Hetbert Watson pefirmed the marriage ceremonv. A reception was afterwards held at' the residence of the bride's parents, Lincoln Road. Th 3 newly married couple left for Wanganui'by the afternoon train on their honeymoon.
