MASTERTON WOOL, SKIN AND HIDE SALES.

Messrs Levin and Co., Ltd, report as follows:—We held our monthly sale of wool, skins, hides, fallow, etc., yesterday, offering 30 bales wool, 1,200 sheepskins, 150 hides and a quantity of tallow horsehair and rabbit-skins. There was the usual attendance of buyers and good lines ot skins and wool were well competed for. There were several lots of good crutchings catalogued, and these were well competed for and realised up to fourpenc3. We quote: —Wool medium crossbred, 4d to sd; inferior crossbred, 3Jd to 4d; locks and pieces, ljd to 2sd; good drutellings, 3Jd to 4d; medium crutchings, 3d to 3Jd; inferior crutchings, 2d to 2|d. Skins—Fine crossbreds; 3|d to4.fd; medium and coarse cro*sbreds, 3Jd to 4Jd; der.d skins, 2d to 23d; dead hoggots, 2d to 3£d; lamb skins, 4d to 4Jd. Hides—Medium ox, 3jd to 4sd; medium cow, 3d to < 3j}d: "alf, up to 5Jd; inferior hides, Id to 21&. Tallow—Casks, to 21s 6d, tins to 19s per cwt; horsehair, la ..3d. There was the saal attendance of buyers, and the '"bidding was brisk. Skins—Crussbreds co 4Jd, crossbred (damp) 2s Id, •crossbreds (broken) 3d to 3Jd, crossbreds (dead) 3d to B|d, crossbreds , (short) 2£d to 3fd, black 3id, double deckers 33d, hoggets 4£d, hoggets (dead) 3|d, hoggets (dead and scady) 2Jd, close wool }4d. HidesCow (good) 3§d to 3jd, cow (slippy) 3Jd to 3gd, cow (cut and slippy) S&d, ox 4Jd, ox (slippy) 3£d, yearling 3Jd, calf 41 to 5Jd, calf (cut) 3§d. Fat, 19s 3d per cwt.
