WOMEN TEACHERS.
Any danger of feminisation that may confront us arises from the increasing tendency of men ta the teaching profession, remarks the Christchurch "Press." At present the fact that in most large schools and in many smaller ones the uppar classes are taught by men counteracts the effect of the -preponderance ot women teachers-, but there is no assurance that the state of things will continue. For this reason' it is all the more desirable that, if possible, the teachers shall be admitted to the greater benefits of the Public Service superannuation scheme, in order that tho superior advantages offered by other branches of tac State's service may not, a=s now the case, tempt young men away from the profession of teaching.
