Th'j total imports of butter into the United Kingdom for week ending 2uth inst. amounted to 87,000 cwt., a3 compared with 83,000 cwt. for the c >rresponding week of 1907, showing an increase of 4,000 cwt. Frozen meat—There is an active demand for Jamb, and the market is very firm. Better demand for mutton and prices
