I The Masterton and Carterton Seniors were to have met at Carterton ■>on Saturday, but the Masterton Club were Unable to get a team to travel • and forfaited. RED STAR v. GREYTOWN. The Red Star and Greytown teams 'met on the Showgrounds. The ground was very heavy owing to the rain. The game, of which the Stars had the best, resulted in a draw —3 points epcb. For Red Stars, N. Chamberlain scored a try, and for Greytown, Skeet kicked a penalty goal. The local team had a sprinkling of junior 3 in its ranks. Mr F. Roydhouse was .referee. ■JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP. A ORE ORE v. Telegraph —Special to Age.) PAtiIATUA, June 27. Great interest was centre 1 in the senior match, Pahiatua v. I-lukanui, I played on the local Recreation Ground to-day. The game was about the be3t played here this season, both teams playing determinedly to win. I The ground, however, was very slippery, spoiling a Rood deal of the play, which was even up to half time,' the first si ell resulting in no score on either side. . The second half started Hukanui shortly scoring through Pahiatua mulling the slippery ball. From this out there was a stubborn fight, Pahiatua ti-ying to make up the score, but without avail, •the game ending with the scores— Hukanui 5, Pahiatua nil. The Eketahuna Juniors were defeated by Mangatainoka Juniors, at .Mangatainoka, by 3 points to nil. Hamua Juniors defeated Scar- i ■borough by 6 points to nil.
