NATIONALISATION OF FRENCH RAILWAYS.
GOVERNMENT BILL SANCTION-

The French Senate, by/ a majority of 37, sanctioned the Government's bill for the purchase of the western railways' after the discovery that a number of members at the previous critical division had voted against the Government through a miatake.
A cablegram from Parid on Saturday morning stated that in connection with the demand for the nationalisation of the French railways, the Clemenceau Government narrowly escaped defeat. On a critical division the Government had a majority of only three.
