THE CRISIS IN PERSIA.
The crisis in Persia, where the throne is threatened by the Reform party, has reached its height. The Shah, who has bean on- the side of reaction since his accession to ttie throne, has now taken stepH which may lead to a general civil war. The other clay, after summoning the notables of Tfheran to tfaghshah, a village outside the capital, he caused the Reform leaders, Wilsled-dowleh, Ala-ed-dowleb, and Sardar-el-Mansur, to be arrested. He then appointed a notorious reactionary named Hadji-cd-dowleh Governor of Teheran. The capital has for some weeks been in a state of panic, and the Shah, foreseeing trouble, has beeii increasing his forces hourly.
