Me?srs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., rep ort as follows:—We held our Pahiatua sale on \Tuesday. More sheep csme forward than were advertised. Bidding was slack under the hammer, 1) ut we managed to quit a fair mimb er after the sale. We quote:—Poor, empty cull ewes, 8s to 4s; ewes in lamb to 8a Gd, 2-tooth wtthers, 10s to lis 4d; cull lainbs to 4s 2d; forward cows, £2 10s. The world's record price l'or a lor.gwooi sheep was paid in 1906 by Mr F. Millar—an Argentine flockowr.er—for a two-tooth Lincoln ram, bred by Mr Henry Duriding, of Ribv Grove, Ergland. This valuable was (lipped in QiiibeH's Dip, which preparation hns been in use, more or less extensively, on Mr Dud- j ding's celebrated flock for upwards cf a quarter of a cei.tury.
