ELECTORAL ROLLS.
It is astonishing how careless the average man and woman is with regard to his or her registration, remarks the Christchurch "Star." They seem to take it as a matter of fact that having been once registered they are r.-gistered for all time, and to take no steps to see that the purging of the rolls cr the ( fact of rsinoval to another district, or any of the other accidents of time and place, has not resulted in their names being dropped. There is no excuse for any qualified elector finding at the eleventh hour that he is not upon the roll, for it is the obvious duty of all to see that their names are there.
