NATIONAL DAIRY' SHOW.
—_— BY TEEiEGItAPIl —PLIERS ASSOCIATION . PALMERSTON N., June 23. . The National Dairy Show was opened to-day by the Governor.. The weather was fine, and the attendance large. The Show is i" many respects the finest winter event heh J by the Association, the entries being good throughout. A fine exhibit from the Agricultural Department also adds to the success. Mr J. Balsillie won the Luxford Shi eld'for the best collection of farm roots. Mr F. W. Mayo won the English Horticultural Society's medal for the best collection of apples. Experts from Australia speak highly of the butter and cheese exhibits particularly and the Show generally. The machinery exhibition is the finest yet seen here, and has caused much comment among the visitor:.-!.
