WELLINGTON WOOL AND SKIN SALES.

Messrs Levin and Company, Ltd., eport as follows regarding Friday's gale:—We held our fortnightly sale \on Friday, offering 25 bales wool, 1,500 skins, 400 hides and a quantity of tallow and horsehair. Wool— Crutcliing* are beginning to come into the market and many bales wero offered to-day. They met with good demand, considering market conditions. We quote:—Medium crossbred, 8d to 4|d; inferior, 2d to 3d; .lambs wool, 4£d to sd; pieces and locks, Id to 2d; good crutchings, 4rl to 4£d; medium crutchings, yd to 4d; seedy and inferior, ljd to 2Jd. Skins Steady. We quote—Fine crossbreds, 4d to sd; crossbred, 3d to 4Jd; dead skins, 2d to 3d; dead hoggets, ljd to 2£d; dry pelts, Id toljd; ambskins, 3d to 4Jd; green pelts, s to 3s; green lambs woolly, 2s to ■3s; green lambs, pelts, 2s to Is 9d. Tallow—Steadv. Parcels in shipping order, £22. Tins, £lB to £2O 10s. Rough fat, £lO to £l3. Horsehair—--—&r bls 3d per lb. Horns—ss to 17a Gd per hunderd. Cowtaila—ls 6d to Is B<l par dozen. Hides— We brought forward another good catalogue. La*t sale prices, however, were not maintained owing to oasier oversea markets. Heavies full one halfpenny, ■an 1 lights one farthing. Our next sale will bo held on Friday July The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., report us follows: At our fortnightly said on Friday we offered a good cat ilogue to a more than average attendance of buyers. Only a few odd lots of wool were offered. Prices for wool, skins and tallow showed rone improvement ' on late rates. Hides were a little easier. We offered a fair quantity of crutchings, which met with a .goo I demand, prices showing considerable improvement.
