WAIRARAPA P. AND A. SOCIETY.

A meeting of the general committee of the Wairarapa P. and A. Society was held on the Showgrounds, at Carterton, yesterday, the chair being occupied by Mr W. Howard Booth. The Treasurer reported a debit balance of £197 2s. Mr T. V. Moore stated that he did not wish to act as marshal of gate stewards, and it was decided, on the motion of Mr W. C. Buchanan, that the matter be considered at the next meeting of the committee. The Carterton Fire Brigade wrote, thanking the Society for the upe of the Hall on the occasion of their fancy dress ball. The Masterton A. and P. Association wrote in reference to ram fair delegates' expenses, and showed "a debit of £3 6s Bd, against tht- Wairarapa Society. % It was decided on the motion of Mr E. Eagle, jnr., that the Masterton Association be written to,asking why the Wairarapa P. and A. Society's delegates had not been paid their expenses for 1907. The Secretary of the Masterton A. and P. Association wrote giving notice that the Association will, in future, conduct , its own ram fair separately. It was decided on the motion of Mr Buchanan, that Messrs H. R. Bunny, Hugh Morison, W. Howard Booth and G. W. Deller, be j appointed a committee to go into the I history of the joining of Wairarapa ; and Masterton Societies in connection with the ram fair. The following committee was appointed to select judges:— Messrs Matthews, Buchanan, McPhee, Cooper, Clark, J. G. Oatcs, President, Vice-President and Treasurer. Eight new members were elected. On behalf of Mr H. R. Bunny, who was unable to be present, Mr C. Reid moved:—"That tho National Dairy Association be asked to discuss the J question of tho grading of cheese in | London." The motion was carried.
