SHORTAGE OF CATTLE.
INCREASE IN PRICE OF BEEF.
Received June 19, 8.14 a.m. LONDON, June 18. The shortage of cattle in North America lias caused a twenty per cent, increase in the price of beef in Berlin and Paris. The retailers of London are urging Lord Carrington, Minister of Agriculture, to relax the restrictions on tha importation of live cattle.
