A TERRIBLE STORY.

.* THE LAUNCESTON MURDER

Recaived June 19, 10.40 a.m. LAUNCESTON, June 19. Particulars of the child murder case show that the hoy, whose name is Robert Davis (not Robertson as previously cabled), tolcl his parents that a hyena had taken his little brother off in the bush. When pressed he said that the child fell off his back. A search by the father revealed the child hidden away, with his head terribly battered. He died two hours later. Robert subsequently stated at the inquest that his brother was too heavy to carry all the way home, so he hit him on the head twice and then concealed him.
