FOOTBALL.
The following team will represent Red Star Seniors against Carterton Seniors, at Carterton, to-morrow:— Duggan, Culverhouse, Rhodes, Wing, Eacer, Adams, McCarthy, Clarke, Muana Paretene, K. Welch, Corbett, Chamberlain, R. Welch, McKenzie, Scorrar. The Albion and Rover Junior teams met on the reserve, at Carterton, yesterday. The ground was in a sloppy state, and play was consequently not very brilliant. The game was, however, well-contosted, and ended in a draw, three points beins registered on each side. The Secretary of the Wnirarapa Rugby Union states "that it will be necessary for the Dalefield-Masterton Juniors' match to be played on Fraser's Paddock, on Saturday, as both grounds will be in use." It is understood that the ground in under-sizsd and the goal-posts are not of the regulation width and height, so that other arrangements may have to be made. The Red Star-Carterton Junior match will be played on No. 2 ground on the Showgrounds. Fuller (Canterbury), Ivimey (Otago), andMahoney (Canterbury) will fill the places in the South Island team of Deans, McDonald, and Casey. In the Selection Committee for the sseond test match, Mr Cavanagh, of Otago, will act in place of Mr Harris.
