CONCILIATION BOARD.
NAPIER, June 18. At a meeting of the Conciliation Board to-day, it was intimated that the masters did not desire to give evidence in the engineers' dispute, and the statement was accepted. A conference took place in the matter of the painters' dispute, it being represented that the recommendations filed were in some respects different from the agrtement arrived at by the parties. The Board will next sit in Wellington.
