WHAT THE TREASURY CONTAINED. Received June 18, 8.55 a.m. MOROCCO, June 17. Mulai Hafid is removing from the Palace at Fez all traces of European civilisation. The treasury was broken open by order of Mulai Hand, who was furious on finding that there was only a coffer containing Abdul Aziz's old clothes. Mulai had the harem whipped to q/lmpel disclosure of where the treasure was hidden, but the ladies dedeclared that Abdul Aziz took everything away.
