ASIATICS IN TRANSVAAL.
COMPLYING WITH REGISTRATION ACT. Received June 18, T. 23 a.m. ' PRETORIA, June 17. Altogether 9,072 persons, practically the whole of the Asiatic commuity in the Transvaal, have registered volutarily under the compromise effected with the Government. ! Nevertheless, the latter, .'yielding t) the Imperial Government's representations on behalf of its Indian subjects, is willing to legislate for amendment of the Registration Act.
