PROHIBITION CONVENTION.
WELLINGTON, June 17. At the Prohibition Convention, resolutions were passed asking for legislation so that local option may be settled by absolute majority rule, and that the people be give:i Dominion as well as local option vote, on a majority basis. It was decided to recommend the Leagues in the Dominion to make a special contribution ii> aid of the cai.e in the Taumarunui electorate.
