FARM LABOURERS' DISPUTE.
.. BT TMiHORAPH —FBEBS ASSOCIATION. CHRISTCHURCH, June 15. When the farm labourers' dispute •was Chlled on in the Arbitration ■•Court, to-day. Mr Justice Sim said -that he bdieved the Conciliation Board was considering the question »of a report, but he did not know when the report would be ready. Mr Acland said to his Honour: "It took me two months to digest ■»the evidence." Mr Minson, Chairman of the Con■■cilitition Board, said that the report would not be rendy in less than ■.three weeks. ■ , His Honour said the Board had i been directed to report on what it 1 thought a fair and reasonable settlement of the dispute, and it would be sufficient if the Board did so without regard to couching such statement in legal terms. There was no • obligation to give reasons for the Foard's decision. Mr Minaon said that he would like *<ito consult the Board, but he should say that as matters were nqw simplified . the report mia;ht be ready in a week. , If the Board had known then what he .knew now it would have been ready fwith its report three months ago. It was decided that the case should j «be called on June 26th.
