HARBOUR BOARD FOR FOXTON.

FALMERSTON N., June 15. Sir Joseph Ward was in Pahnerston North, to-day, and received a deputation of delegates irom local bodies from Manawatu, Rangitikei and Woodville, in support of the proposed harbour board for Foxton. The deputation urgfld the Government to hand over the wharfage dues received by the Railway Department, as is done at Fatea and Wanganui. Replying, Sir Joseph intimated that the local bodies would have to recognise the responsib ; ljty with regard to rating. He promised to bring the matter before the Ministers of Marine and Railways.
