MASTERION v. PAHIATUA. A match between oeams representing the Ma3terton and Pahiatua '"•Ghibd was played at Lapsdowne on Saturday, and resulted in a win for the former by five matches to four. 'Th3 individual scores were as follow, Masterton players being mentioned first in each instance: A. Bewley lost to J. 0. Lilly, 1 -(down. H. Booth beat G. H. Smith, 2 up. A. R. Sclanders lost to H. Mc- '■; Sherry, 3 and 1. G. G. Aitken beat W. J. Collins, 9 i,and 8. H. H. Donald lost to C. J. Norton, . 8 ssf 1. W. P. James beat E. B. Hare, 3 •and 2. J. Gray lost to T. R. Husband, i 9 and 7. J. Steel beat J. Hicks, 4 and 3. C. Perry beat H. Coom, 8 and 7. COTTER CHALLENGE ROSE BOWL. On Thursday next a match is to be played tor the Cotter 'Rose Bowl, between ..Miss E. Robieson (holder) and Mrs Saunders, of Featherston (challenger). The match will commence about ,2 p.m.
