A WELLINGTON SENSATION.
* ■ WELLINGTON, June 12. A man, whoee name is said to be Albert 15. Freeman, shot himself with ajevolver near the grave of the Right "Hon. R.J. Seddon shortly after two o'clock this afternoon. The shot penetrated the man's head, avid he was taken to the Hospital in a critical condition. On his person letters were found addressed to Mrs Seddon, Mr Moore, and Mr R. Hogg, of the Socialist Party. In tho man's pockets was also found a large quantity of Socialistic literature, putters, etc., together with a letter from a Socialistic urgai isation in Denver, Colorado, U.S.A. Constable Brown, who has been stationed in tho botanical Gardens for some weeks past, has noticed the man about there on several occasions during the past three weeks. Freeman i 3 between 35 and 40 yenrb of age. When found he was still breathing, and wag taken to the Hospital, but his condition is regarded as almost hopeless.
