SHORTAGE OF CATTLE.
INCREASE IN PRICES OF MEAT. Received June 12, 9.35 p.m. LONDON, June 12. The National Federation of Meat Tracers, in a manifesto to the public, state that owing to the short supply of cattle and reduced arrivals from Canada and the United States, it has been found necessary for retailers to increase their prices. There are no indications of cheaper meat for some time.
