AUCKLAND ENTERTAINMENT PROGRAMME. BY TKliliGliAl'H - I'HESS ASSOCIATION. AUCKLAND, June 11. The following is? the official programme so far arranged by the Government Commissioners and local Reception Committee for the entertainment of the American Fleet:— Sunday, August 6th, official visit of Admiral to Governor; Monday, August 10th, landing and official reception at wharf by Prime Minister, and the members of the Ministry, when the Admiral will be presented with a souvenir of the visit from the people of New Zealand for transmission to President Roosevelt, a souvenir will also be presented to the Admiral. A procession will then be [ formed to the Military Hall, where the Mayor will present addresses of welcome; Monday afternoon, review of tnops, evening official banquet; Tuesday, August 10th, Mayoral reception State ball at night; Wednesday, races at Ellerslie, departure at 8 p.m. of officers of fleet for Rotorua; Thursday, August 13th, visits to thermal sights; Friday August 14th, return to Auckland; Saturday, August 15th, left open. In addition to the above programme the Mayor will, at the conclusion of the procession on Monday, entertain the principal visitors at lunch at his private residence, and arrangements are being made to provide for the remainder at the leading cluLs. WHAT HOSPITALITY HAS DONIU. SAILORS DISSATISFIED. OVER ONE THOUSAND DESERTERS. Received June 12, 1.25 a.m. LONDON. June 11. The New Yurie correspondent of the "Daily Mail" reports that over one thousand men have deserted from the American Fleet since it arrived in California!) waters. Owing to super-abundance of hospitaity the sailors are dissatisfied with life aboard ship.
