A STEAMER DAMAGED IN COLLISION.

WELLINGTON, June 11. This morning the Chairman of the Council of the New Zealand Marine Underwriters' Association received a cable ines-.age from the Melbourne Underwriters' Association, stating that the New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Rakaia, which left the Bluff for London o:i 11th May, had put into Monte Video, having been slightly damaged in collision.
