CO-OPERATIVE CONGRESS.
Received June 11, 8.30 a.m. LONDON, June 10. On the ground that the movement was above politics and creeds the Cooperative Congre-s. by a large majority, decided against attempting to secure direct representation in the House of Commons. A proposed alliance with the Labour party aroused ctrong dissent. Mr J. Allen, the president, declared that tariff iv forms benefit the few at the expense of the many. It would be a calamity.
