Welch, K. Welch. " t The following team will represent Red Star 11. against Te Ore Ore, on the Showgrounds, on Saturday:—
Full-back, Sowman; three-quarters, Chamberlain, Williams, Hebley; five-eighth, Barnes; half-back, Ball; wings, Faulkner and Welch; forwards, Eaathope, Golder, Fulton, D. Ross, G. Ross, Stewart, G. McHattie. Emergencies—Wyett and Hursey. A meeting of butchers and bakers was held in Mr Stempa's rooms last evening, to arrange matters in connection with playing a football match for the silver cup presented by the master butchers and bakers last year, and won by the Butchers. Mr J. Wickens, junr., was voted to the chair. Mr R. Russell was reelected secretary, and Mr G. Boxall treasurer. It was decided to secure the Showgrounds, if available, for the match on Thursday, July Ist, and to take up a collection, in aid of the St. John Ambulance. It was also decided to hold a smoke concert in the evening, when the winning team will be presented with the cup. A general meeting is to be held on Wednesday next, when a social committee will be formed and the teams picked. ____________
