"ROBBIE BURNS."

Two things rouse a Scotsman to the greatest pinch of patriotism, the sound of the bagpipes and the name of Burns. Most Scotsmen have »-ead Burns, but it has been left for a Scotch lady with an American education to bring the life of Burns, the true Burns, into every corner of the globe where a Scottish community exists. From Dallas, Texas, to the Klondyke, from San Francisco, California, to Boston, and throughout the h t glh sml breadth of Great Britain, Miss Howison has pleased her hearers wiih the story of Burns and her rendering of his pnems. This lady is now in Masterlon. Miss Howison is announced to give a recital at the Town Hall on Tuesday, June 16th, at 8 p.m., on Robert Burns, "The Immortal Apostle of Freedom."
