PIGEONS AND ETHERGRAMS.
Received June 9, 8.11 a.m. LONDON, June 8. The Admiralty has decider! that ethergraphs will render unnecessary carrier pigeons, which can be bred to home from any direction. German agents have been instructed to buy pigeons regardless of cost. The "Standard" declares that the Admiralty, by selling the birds, will effect an economy of only £4OO a year, whereas pigeons will be needed on picket boats used for watching hostile harbours in time of war.
