Mr J. C. Boddington reports that the rainfall registered at Upper Plain for the 24 hours, up till D a.m. on Sunday, ,vas 2 points; and for the 24 hours up till y a,m, on Monday 8 points, BY XELKGRAPH—PHESS ASSOCIATION. WELLINGTON, June 8. The following is Captain Edwin '3 weather forecast to 3 p m. to-morrow: —Strong winds to gale from between north-west and west and south-west in the North Island, and from between south-west and south and south-wesfr in the South Island. Rain is probable generally, and with rising barometer in the north of East Cape, Tkupo' and New Plymouth, and fallirig barometer everywhere else. Unsettled weather,- with prevalence ofi high' westerly winds, changing toward south' in most parts of the country, and generally with rain during the next 48 hours, probably moderate wind generally to 12th, and unsettled with high northerly winds at places south of Napier and New Plymouth later.
