""MORNING POST" ADVOCATES FIRMNESS. BRITISH KEbULATIONS SHOULD BE ENFORCED. Received June 3, 9,10 a.m. f f LONDON, June 2. Ths "Morning Post" reports that 'the American Senate has adjourned without taking steps to submit to The Hague the interpretation of the treaty made with Canada in 1818 regarding the fisheries question. A question has now arisen relating to the renewal of the vivendi with Newfoundland. The "Post" trusts that Great Britain will coerce, but consult the •colony. Under the general arbitration treaty with America the only thing necescary is being firm in the announcement that the fisheries • during 1903 will be conducted under the treaty of 1819, and the . sending of a cvuiser to enforce the British regulations in British waters.
