The following are the results of the first day's racing of the Auckland Racing Club's meeting:— Maiden Steeplechase, about 2& miles—Good Faith 1, Cinque 2, Lady Lanta 3. Time, 4min 57sec. Jervoia Handicap, 5 furlongs— Wauchope 1, Dogger Bank 2, Octoroon 3. Time, Imm 16 2-saec. I Maiden Hurdles, 1£ mile—Pierre 1, Tui 2, Noteorini 3. Time, 3min fjsec. Great Northern Hurdles, 2£ miles —Wuipu, 9.10 (J. O'Connell), l;Sol, 10.0 (W. Wilson), 2; Lady Hune, 10.9 (Cress), 3. Also started—Paritutu, Dolores, Le Beau, Kiatere, Cavalier, Showman, Aorangi, Ouiati, Landlock, Loch Fyne, Cuiragno. When in lead three furlongs from home Aorangi fell, and brought down Paritutu, Omati and Dolores. Won by two lengths. Time, smin Bsec. Cornwall Handicap—Bobrikoff 1, Leonator 2, Celtic 3. Time, 2min 20sec. Ladies' Bracelet— Belario 1, Ahei 2, Firat Gun 3. Time, 2min 57 2-5 sec. Members' Handicap, 5 furlongsForemost 1, Tauriki 2, Haldane 3. Time, lmin 6 2-ssec.
