Received May 31, 4.28 p.m. LONDON, May 30. Mr Hugh; Lea, Libsral'M.P. for St. Pancras East, elicited iti the House of Commons from Mr H. H. Asquith that 23 temporal and 23 spiritual peers had been created since 1905. Received May 31, 4.20 p.m. NEW YORK, May 30. Theodore H. Price, a cotton operator, has been indicted at New York on charges of brining officials, conspiracy to defraud, and improperly making £150,000, through obtaining early information due to a leakage of Government statistics. Three others, including Edward Holmes, formerly assistant statistician at Washington, are charged with conspiracy with Price.
