Current values restrict speculation, stores showing signs of congestion. B grade •Danish rule at 2s 7d, Sparowbills 2s '7sd, Gartons 2s Bn, seeds 3s, imp Algerians 3s lid. Wheat—Farmers are witholdii g supplies, irregularly gauging value of wheat by Trusts quotations for flour, compelling them to cost above increasing indents from Adelaide. Latter are accepting 4s 3d for milling, Dominion asking ss; fowl feed 4s lOd. Potatoes—Superior quality of New Zealand grown is checking imports from Tasmania, whites finding ready clearance at £5, blues 105s; will yet seo more money. Maize —Nominally 5s Gd; new •crops nearly ready. Barley—Small turnover, making :5s 3d, feed 4s 3d. Beans—Sound crushers available aAi'Sxt 4s 3d. fA Peas—Partridge quiet at 4s Cd, oplit £ls 10s. Bran—Holds at £G ss, output shortening. Pollard —Readily quitted at £7 10s. Uatmeal —25's list, at £l3, rolled -oats £lB, oatina 10s 6d. Chaff —Values hold good at 105s ..for best bright, medium 90s, ryecorn chafE 755, straw chaff 60s; tend- • ency upward.
