Messrs Abraham and Williams, ( Ltd., report on their Maaterton sale held yesterday aa follows: —We again submitted a full yarding of sheep to good attendance of buyers. Bidding at auction for all classes, with the exception of ewes in lamb, was good, prices realised for dry sheep being fully up to lfite rates. Cattle were short of advertised numbers, and but little business was done. We quote: —Sheep—Pat and forward ewes 10s 9d to 12s 6d, ynung ewes in lamb 10s 9d to lis 4d, f.m. ewes in lamb 5s to 8s 3d, ewes 3s Id, empty ewes 5s to Ba, good conditioned wethers 13s lOd, others 10s 9d to 12s Id, cull wethers 9s 6d, best lambs 9s 9d, others 5s to Bs, culls 3s to 4s. Cattle —'Beef cows £4, heifers in calf £2 15s, weaners 5s to Bs, 18-months to 2-year steers £2 18s.
