REPORT OF COMMITTEE OF INQUIRY. Received May 27, 10.10 a.m. MELBOURNE, May 27. The report of the Ministerial Committee of Inquiry into the alleged disorganisation in f.he postal service has been tabled in the Federal House. It recommends a scheme of reforms, including the appointment of an independent Board of Commissioners, a new system of finance, and more businesslike methods of administration in the States. A very large proportion of the complaints are, says the report, incorrect information, and exaggerated misrepresentation of facts. A SCHOONER WRECKED. t Received May 28. 1.50 a.m. SYDNEY, May 27. The New Zealand-built schooner Willinga, during a heavy gale, was totally wreckej off Port Stephens. The crew were saved. NEW HEBRIDES. Received May 28, 12.50 a.m. SYDNEY, May 27. News has been received here that the British Commissioner of the Pacific will visit the New Hebrides aboard the Cambrian on June 12th to confer with the French Commissioner in respect to the new convention. BUSINESS PLACES DESTROYED BY FIRE. Received May 27, 12.50 a.m. SYDNEY, May 27. Three business places were destroyed by fire at Grafton to-day. The damage amounts to about £20,000.
