FIRE AT HUKANUI.
BY TKIiSiHiAI'H —I'BKSK ASSOCIATION. EKETAHUNA, May 25. A nine-roomed house, belonging to Mr H. E. Mowbray, Hukanui, was destroyed by fire on Saturday. Mr and Mrs Mowbray were away at Mastorton. The ludy-help left the house at 2.30 p.m. to go to the Post Office, aril at a.lit) the house was seen in flumes. The on?h of the fire is a mystery. The railway hands saved a few effects. The insurances were a? follow: — £650 on the house, and £3SC on the furniture in tho London, Liverpool and Globe Office. The house had just been refitted throughout.
