A mass meeting of tramway employees, this morning, resolved to send a deputation tu the Board asking that an cutsidej person recently appointed ticket inspector over thtir trads be retired, and also to request a continuance of the system until recently in vogue by which surplus monies brought in 1;*; c?r.uuctdvs sh?yl?. ■?? placed to theii' credit, and USed ae a Hit-off against any subsequent deficiency, The Board reCMitty decided to abolish the system oi crediting surpluses to conductors, and compelled the men to pay all deficiencies out of their own pockets. A resolution of sympathy was passed with the Auckland tramway employees. '
