KING EDWARD.
VISIT TO RUSSIA. Received May 22, 8 a.m. LONDON, May 21. The fact that the Foreign Oflice makes the announcement of King Edward's proposed visit to Russia, coupled with the wording of the announcement, indicates that the State character of the visit is predominant. Moreover, Queen Alexandra does not accompany the King. Sir Chas. Hardinge, Permanent Un ler-Sccretary tn Foreign Office, accompanies His Majesty. The fact mat King Edward is sailing on the evening of the 3rd, as soon as ccnvenient after the visit of M. Falliei ies, French President, is commented upon. deceived May 22, 8.55 p.m. LONDON, May 22. His Majesty King Edward will not land in Russia, but exchange of courtesies will occu:- on board tha Royal yachts.
