THE BOND OF UNION. Received May 2?, 9 a.m. LONDON, May 21. Sir Edward--. Grey, Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, addressing the Victoria League, said all implication of subordination and restraint had disappeared from the word "Empire." Liberty and independence constituted the bond of union between the Motherland and the colonies.
