At 9 a.m. yesterday Captain Edwin issued the following forecast for the subsequent 2<l hours: — Wind. Easterly, moderate to strong at all places northward of East Cape, Taupo, and Kawliia: south-easterly, moderate to strong thence to Napier; northerly, moderate to strong all other places. Barometer. Little movement northward of Napier a:ul New Plymouth; fall slowly everywhere else.
