WOOL CLASSING.

The Managers of the Masterton Technical School are to be commended for their promptitude in taking up the question of instituting a course of instruction in wool-classing at the Technical School. The matter of equipment is being discussed, and, although not definitely settled, it is more than probable that a class will be in operation by the opening of the next term. Considering what an mv- I portant wool growing district the Wairarapa is, it is surprising that a wool-classing class has not been established here long ago. However, now that there is a probability of one being started, it is to be hoped that it will be taken up with enthusiasm. As we have remarked before, woolclassing is being traated on more scientific lines every year, and the farmer who endeavours to handle the classing of his clip according to modern demands, is studying his own interests, and also that of his country by Keeping up the standard of woolclassing. Wool classes have recently been started in other places, and they are greatly appreciated, not only by sheep farmers, but by those interested in stock and station business. ,We feel sure that similar classes have only to be established in Masterton, and that they will be well attended and be productive of much good.
