Hope regarding the safety of the steamer Orion has been abandoned. A local police constable had his wife, his eldest son, and two daughters aboard the vessel. SYDNEY-SHANGHAI STEAM SERVICE. Received May 20, 1 a.m. SYDNEY, May 19. The Government are calling for tenders for a regular steam ssrvice between Sydney and Shanghai.
