The drama, "The Scarlet Pimpernel," will be stagnd for the first time in Masterton at the Town Hail on Friday evening. A contemporary says:—"The new drama, by CrozyBarstow, has scored a distinct success sverywhce. Mr Knight is said to have never given Australasia anythin? better than his fine and finished pe'formance of Sir Percy Blakenty, it being a piece of acting of, the highest order. As Marguerite Blakeney, Miss Ola Humphrey has a part admirably suited to her, and one in which the actress is seen at her best." The Company includes Messrs Harry Plimmer, Reynolds Denniston, Leslie Victor,' Dudley Clinton, Herbert Bentley, Edgar Harris. Chas. Collman, Stanley Walpole. H. Walters, Reg. Andrews, and Misses Ada Stirling, Elwyn Harvey, Kalie Towers, Jean Martin, K. Chalmers, and Mary Marlowe. The box plan will be opened at Miss Rive's on Tuesday morning.
