FOOTBALL.

ROVERS I. v. ALBION I. The above match was played on the Showgrounds yesterday afternoon, there being a fair attendance of the public. The Rovers had a very easy win, uefeating the Albions by 19 points to nil. Mr E. McKanzie wa3 referee. ALBION 11. v. ROVER 11. On the Carterton Reaerve, yesterday atternoon, a match was played between the Albion 11. and Rover 11., and resulted in a win for the Albions by 8 points to 3.

It has oeen decided by the Wairarapa Union that the team to meet Bush, on Saturday, will play in black jerseys. All members of the Masterton Club willing to place their jerseys at the disposal of the team are asked to leave them with the Secretary. The first representative match of the season will be played on the Masterton Showgrounds on Saturday between the Wairarapa and L'ush Unions. Additional interest is lent to the match from the fact that the team which is to play the AngloWelsh fifteen at Masterton on May 23rd will be selected from the play-, ers taking part in to-morrow's match.

The following will represent Masterton 111. against Dalefield, at Masterton, to-morrow:—Simonson, Pauling, Hanley, Osman, Yates, Barr, Dixon, Munn, Billington, Dear, Rayner, McHattie, Catt, Fly, Wellington. Emergency — Back, liraggins; forwards, Milne. The first annual dance of the Te Ore Ore Football Club will be htld at Te Ore Ore on Wednesday next. The dance will be under the patronage of Mr H. H. Beetham and K. Te Huki. Music will be supplied by a first-class orchestra.

The following third-class fixtures have been drawn up by the Wairarapa Rugby Union: — May 16th —Masterton v. Dalefield, at Masterton. Red Star a bye. May 30th—Dalefield v. Red Star, at Dalefield. Masterton a bye.

June 6th — Red Star v. Masterton, at Masterton. Dalefield a bye.
