CHARGES OF MANSLAUGHTER.
CHRISTCHURCH, May 14. As a result of disclosures at the inquest touching the death of Margaret Robinson, who died on Monday at her residence, Sydenham, William Alexander Robinson and Margaret Savage, son and daughter of the deceased, were charged to-day with having caused her death by neglecting to call in medical advice, and give her proper care and nursing. Mr Donnelly, for accused, said they wanted the case tried at the next Supreme Court Sessions, and desired to have the magistrate's proceedings completed this week. The woman accused was in a weak state of health, having left a nursing home only a short time ago, and the suspense in her case would be harmful. Inspector D\vy,ei said the police would be ready oh Saturday, and a remand was grantfe'd accordingly, bail being allowed each accused in £IOO, and one surety each of £IOO.
