PRIME MINISTER AT NELSON.

By Telegraph—Press Association NELSON, May 14. The Prime Minister, Lady Ward, and Mr R. M'Kenzie, M.P, arrived at Murchison last evening uy motor. Representative re3idont3 met the party nt the punt crossing, and school children waving and cheering, lined the road, while Norah MacFarlane presented a bouquet to Lady Ward. In the evening a social gathering was held, and deputation received. The bitter included one from Murchison branch of the Inland Communication League urging the fulfilment of the Government covenant to complete the extension of the Nelson railway to Buller Valley. On the journey from Denniston, spheral deputations were received di. the road. Later. The Premier and party arrived at Nelson early this evening from Murchison, and after receiving deputations on railway and wharf extension, left at eight o'clock in the Tutanekai for Kaikoura, which will be visited to-morrow, the return to Wellington being made on Saturday. The lateness of the arrival was due to the delay in getting the rrotur-car across two unbridged rivers; otherwise th 9 trip was attended by no untoward circumstances.
