STOCK MARKET.
Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on their Master ton stock sale held yesterday as follows: — We submitted a full yarding of t>heep, upwards of 6,000 being yarded, the quality for the most part being good, and we had an animated sale right through. Classes most keenly competed for being forward ewes and wethers and good sorts of lambs. Ewes in lamb were, however, more difficult to quit. Prices all round showed an increase on those ruling at our last sale. The cattle pens were well filled and although prices were somewhat low very few lines were turned out unsold. We quote:— Sheep: Fat wethers (light) 14s 4d, store wethers 12s 6d to 13s 6d, twotooths (small) 10s Id, fat ewes 12s to 13s 6d, forward empty ewes 10s to lis Bd, store ewes 6s to 7s 6d. ewes in lamb (medium sorts) 6s to 8s 6d, cull ewes 3s to 4s 3d, best lambs 10s to 10s 6d, others 5s to 7s 6d, mixed ewes and wethers 9s 7d to lis 7d. Cattle: Grown bullocks £5 10s, 2\year steers £3 to £3 ss, 18-months steers £2 7s 6d to £2 13s, 18-months (mixed sexes) 36s 6d to £2, weaners 7s to 15s, springing cows £7, old cows £1 to 275.
